From Sacramento...

We sold our house and made preparations to move Rikki-tikki-tavi to the San Francisco Bay Area. With a haulout and a dry survey scheduled at Napa Valley Marina, we left our dock on the Sacramento River on October 22, 2004 We anchored overnight in Steamboat Slough and made a drizzly trip to Martinez for an overnight at the marina.

We spent eleven days on the hard adding a few inches to our bottom paint. Then, Rikki-tikki made tracks to Alameda on a blustery, bumpy day. We would spend about seven months getting ready to head north up the coast to Canada.
