The cabinets in the master stateroom are taking shape. I built a battery box under the ladder for two of the Lifeline AGM batteries. The others will be in the engine "room". We are going to have a worktable in front of the single berth. Sewing projects and maintenance projects with a Zylis bench vise can be done here. It is table height so maybe a bar stool? You may think that's laughable, but why not? We'll be working on projects while in port and it is a nice, stable multihull...

I have completed the berth supports and perforated them with many ventholes to combat what we understand is a significant mildew problem in boats. Here I am working on the support for the curving ladder steps.
We have designed some built-in cabinets which will have mahogany doors. The two cubby opening behind my head also serve as ladder steps (with added treads) to get into the bunk. Above these is a drawer opening. There is a hanging locker by my right shoulder which will house the manifold for the water tanks, the largest of which is below the sole underneath me. It is 35 gallons. |
